Hokkaido definitely got lots of snow last night, but most of it fell in the east & on the crab trappers out in the Pacific. Ha ! The top of the mountain only received about 5cm of new but with all lifts & gates open, the fresh groomers were a delight to trace out some silky quick turns with virtually no wind to pester riders with. For those adventuring into the back country there were still fresh lines to get amongst however not quite as fresh as yesterday. The weather got a little mild this afternoon yet all remained stable & all in all was a pretty nice to be up on the mountain. Temperatures look set to drop well back tomorrow with chill factors of around 25 under & light snow to freshen the base till at least next Tuesday. Please Ride Wisely.
