4pm Wrap

The giant thermometer half way up the mountain next to Ace Hill Restaurant was showing 17 below zero at about 11am. At the top was approx 23 under & then there was That Breeze !! Somewhere around 35 - 40 under with chill fact = cold, really cold ! --BUT-- Quality Dust & a further 30 --40 cm of new to rip into in the 24hrs till 2pm today. The cold kept any signs of crowds away meaning more fresh lines for the hardy to trace out & even just above village level this afternoon -- there were giant paddocks virtually untouched !! Mmm. Around midday the wind started to gust quite seriously & 2 or 3 of the top lifts were placed on wind hold. Temps will stay essentially the same tomorrow, perhaps 1 or 2 degs better but plenty of layers & face mask is highly advised. The snow just keeps coming here in Niseko & with knee to thigh deep diamond dust every day --- LG --- Life is good. Please Ride Wisely.
