3.30pm Wrap

The last 3 or 4 days has seen temps that you don’t experience that often --if at all here in Niseko. Minus 20 was the still temperature mercury reading at about 9 this morning & that was only half way up the mountain. From there up, it just got colder & with the wind chill in addition, another morning of around 35 under zero was certainly keeping any melt from happening & with around 25-30cm of new, it was just the medicine to take your mind off the cold. Needless to say --Cafe's --Restaurants & anywhere that was warm & had good coffee & Hot Chocolate were doing roaring trade by about 10.-Ha ! We were then blessed with about an hour of sunshine as though the weather God was trying to make amends for the Chilly treatment that's been served over our region this week. That blue sky proved to be just a tease, didn't last for long & once again, as of 3.30pm, it is dumping & there is awesome dusty deep powder up there for the hardy ones willing to brave the cold & rip into some quality. Tonight --it is forecasted to seriously chuck it down ! There is a 998 pressure cell sitter over us & the satellite image has Hokkaido missing in action under yet again, a mass of dumpage. Rug up & get amongst it as the Journey continues here in Niseko. Please Ride Wisely.
