Yukoro Onsen Reopens in Niseko Hirafu!

If you’re looking for the best onsen in Niseko, Hirafu’s latest addition is one you won’t want to miss. Yukoro Onsen has officially reopened, reclaiming its place as a beloved hot spring destination in the heart of Niseko. Once a local favourite, the original Yukoro closed several years ago, but this month, it returns in a completely rebuilt form on its original site, carrying forward its historic name and renowned natural hot spring source.

A Contemporary Take on Traditional Japanese Onsen Culture

The new YUKORO Onsen was brought to life by renowned architect Makoto Nakayama (Makoto Nakayama Architects Co., Ltd.). His design blends the cultural heritage of Japanese hot springs with contemporary architecture, reviving a historic hot spring in Niseko and creating a calm yet luxurious atmosphere that feels both timeless and modern.

Each bathing area (separate for men and women) features:

  • Two indoor baths with minimalist, soothing interiors
  • A sauna for deep relaxation
  • An open air rotenburo (outdoor bath) where guests can soak in the stunning seasonal landscapes of Niseko
  • Shower area
  • Changing room with lockers
  • Restaurant on 1F coming soon

Yukoro Onsen is just minutes on foot from most SkiJapan.com Niseko properties, making it the perfect spot to relax after a long day on the slopes. For those staying at Ezo Yume, it couldn’t be easier as the onsen sits directly across the street.

Admission Fees:

Winter (December – March):

  • Adults: ¥2,500
  • Children (ages 6–11): ¥1,250
  • Children under 6: Free

Spring, Summer and Autumn (April – November):

  • Adults: ¥1,000
  • Children (ages 6–11): ¥500
  • Children under 6: Free

Towel Set (includes bath towel and face towel): ¥1,000
