Terms and Conditions 2024-25
PRICES:
All prices are quoted ‘per room’ unless otherwise stated. Land component prices are priced in Japanese Yen (JPY) and trip payments made in Japanese Yen (JPY). The offer, prices and all terms and conditions are subject to change or withdrawal without notice prior to final payment being received by SkiJapan.com.
PAYMENT TERMS:
To secure your booking, a 20% deposit payment is required within 7 days of booking confirmation and is non refundable. Full payment is required at least 70 days prior to check in (unless stated otherwise on your invoice) and is non refundable.
REGISTRATION FORM:
It is the responsibility of the person who completes the booking and online Registration Form, to inform all other people traveling under their name, of the booking conditions. The person who confirms the booking with payment and Registration Form, acknowledges these conditions and shall be liable for all fees for the entire traveling party in the event of any cancellation. IMPORTANT: Passengers are responsible for checking travel dates and all names /ages of people traveling, and ensuring the arrangements are correct at time of booking confirmation. If there is a discrepancy, SkiJapan.com must be notified immediately. Subsequent changes may incur amendment and/or cancellation fees.
PAYMENTS:
SkiJapan.com will accept payments on this booking platform via our payment gateway, Flywire. Flywire transactions are secure and you can pay the equivalent of the required amount in your own currency*. Payments can be via bank transfer, credit cards, or other options that are allowed based on your location. Agent payments can be made via direct deposit. Information as applicable will be included on quotations and statements.
*exchange rate varies and depends on prevailing bank rates at time of payment
PART PAYMENTS:
SkiJapan.com will accept deposits and final payments only. Part payments towards bookings cannot not be accepted.
CANCELLATION:
All cancellations must be advised to SkiJapan.com in writing with your trip reference number. In the event of cancellation, more than 60 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 20% of total invoice (loss of deposit) or the applicable supplier deposit will be non refundable. Cancellations within 60 days prior to arrival, 100% cancellation fee will apply without exception. Cancelation fees on other services such as lift passes, transfers vary and 30 days or less 100% cancelation fees apply. Please check with your consultant.
No allowance or refund can be made on any unused package components once travel has commenced. If a person or persons cancel from a SkiJapan.com booking, they and the remaining people in the booking will be liable for the additional accommodation costs that result from the cancelling persons.
PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNTS:
Promotional discounts may apply to selected rooms and dates. To be eligible for the discount the booking must be paid in full by specified date or as per each offer’s conditions. All Early Bird or Advanced Purchase will be removed from the booking in the event final payment is made after this date and normal payment conditions will apply.
EXCLUSIONS:
Packages do not include travel insurance, equipment hire or lessons, meals or any other items including those of a personal nature. Apart from those detailed in a quote/invoice, costs are at the clients’ own expense eg: passport and visa fees, inter-airport transfers. If flight or other travel delays lead to missed connections that have been pre-paid, SkiJapan.com cannot be responsible for train fares, taxis or other extra expenses.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Travel insurance is highly recommended at the time of deposit to cover cancellation, accidents, baggage loss, personal liability, additional expenses and strikes. SkiJapan.com strongly advises you to take out a travel insurance policy which provides adequate cover in the event you cannot travel, or where your booking has to be cancelled or changed as a result of force majeure. In the case of bookings for ski lessons, equipment rentals, guiding, snowmobiling etc. it is your responsibility to ensure your travel insurance policy provides adequate cover for the activity you will engage in (e.g. winter sports). SkiJapan recommends that you have the most comprehensive cover possible, SkiJapan does not offer any guarantee that it will help to cover any losses you may incur.
If you choose to travel without adequate insurance cover, neither SkiJapan.com or any third party supplier will be liable to you for any losses howsoever arising, in respect of which insurance cover would otherwise have been available. Please contact an insurance company in your country of origin for a policy.
ONLINE BOOKINGS THROUGH THIS WEBSITE:
While every endeavour is made to make the online reservations system free of any bugs, errors, viruses, failures, delay in transmission etc. Ski Japan Travel Co. Ltd. does not guarantee that the site or any of the services offered would be free of bugs, errors, viruses, failures, and Ski Japan Travel Co. Ltd. does not accept any responsibility or liability for any such bugs, errors, viruses, failures delay in transmission etc in the site. Ski Japan Travel Co. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel or amend any such booking requests arising from such errors.
RESPONSIBILITY:
SkiJapan.com acts only as an agent for the companies or persons (principals) providing or offering the means of travel, accommodation and other services (the principals’ services) and bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions under which the principal’s services are provided. Accommodation, transportation and any other services are subject to availability at the time of booking. The principals reserve the right to change the prices of their services without notice. Confirmations and invoices are subject to re-issue if incorrect through error or omission and the passenger accepts liability to pay the correct costs for services. SkiJapan.com reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any tour or passenger booking or to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a Tour or passenger booking
LIABILITY:
To the extent permitted by law, neither SkiJapan.com nor anyone on its behalf can be held liable for any alterations, act or omission on the part of the service providers/principals for any consequential, loss, death, injury, accident, delay or damage occasioned to any person or their belongings (including baggage) in connection with the tour or holiday offers supplied by SkiJapan.com whether or not such loss, injury or damage is due directly or indirectly to any default, negligent act, misrepresentation, breach of duty, or omission of the travel operator, their respective representatives, servants, contractors or agents. Matters outside the control of SkiJapan.com may affect the services offered and SkiJapan.com will not be responsible for any such matters. Programs, offers, tour prices, services and conditions are current at the time of publication of promotional material are subject to change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances, including increases in operating costs. SkiJapan.com will not accept responsibility or liability for any traveller who contravenes the law or regulation of any country visited. SkiJapan.com strongly advise against the use or possession of prohibited drugs in foreign countries and warns travellers that if found to be involved in the use or possession of illegal drugs on a SkiJapan.com tour or travel package, we reserve the right to discharge the traveller from a tour. This is a zero tolerance policy.
Note: As per these terms, passengers are responsible for checking travel dates and all names /ages of people traveling, and ensuring the arrangements are correct at time of booking confirmation. If there is a discrepancy, SkiJapan.com must be notified immediately in writing. Without such notification, SkiJapan.com will not bear the liability.
FORCE MAJEURE:
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, neither we nor any Third Party Supplier can accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our Third Party Supplier’s contractual obligation is prevented or affected by you or otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of force majeure. In these booking conditions ‘force majeure’ means an event which we / the supplier of the service (s) in question / the Third Party Supplier could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include, whether actual or threatened, war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, epidemics/pandemics, fire and all similar events outside the control of the party concerned.
