APPI ski resort is located on Mt. Maemori (1305m/4281ft) and Mt. Nishimori (1328m/4357ft) in the Hachimantai National Park. The resort is open December until early May. The resort offers a huge variety of terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders with a total area of 282Hectare and 45.1km of runs and the longest run “Yamabato” is (5500m) for beginners. The area is renowned for its high quality of snow maintenance with grooming taking place every night and because of the mountains North facing slopes the snow quality is more likely to be light and dry all throughout the day. Appi also offers different snow activities other than skiing and snowboarding such as snowmobiling and snow-shoeing and traditional Japanese style onsens. APPI is located approximately 5.5hrs from Tokyo Narita Airport with a combination of bus and train.
