Please review these Booking Conditions in full. Payment of the deposit or final balance constitutes acceptance of these booking conditions.
You must inform all other people travelling in your group, of these booking conditions. You shall be liable for all fees for the travelling party in the event of any cancellation.
PRICES:
All prices are quoted ‘per person’ unless otherwise stated. Land component prices are priced in Japanese Yen (JPY) and trip payments made in Japanese Yen (JPY). The offer, prices and all terms and conditions are subject to change or withdrawal without notice prior to final payment being received by SkiJapan.com.
DEPOSIT TERMS:
Booking terms of individual suppliers will be followed. To secure your booking, up to 20% non-refundable deposit of the total trip invoice is required within 7 days of receiving our confirmation. Your payment together with your completed booking form is required; otherwise your reservation may be automatically cancelled. Some suppliers may require a greater deposit payment and / or inside the standard 7 days to secure the booking. Specific terms will be stipulated on your quotes and statements. Payment of a deposit indicates acceptance of these conditions. Please note all bookings will be secured when 1) Deposit is received 2) The completed online Booking Form is received with the names of each passenger travelling 3) Flight itinerary is sent
BOOKING FORM:
It is the responsibility of the person who completes the online Booking Form, to inform all other people traveling under their name, of the booking conditions. The person who confirms the booking with deposit and Booking Form, acknowledges these conditions and shall be liable for all fees for the entire traveling party in the event of any cancellation. SkiJapan.com is not obliged to continue to hold any booking unless a completed Booking Form is received. IMPORTANT: Passengers are responsible for checking travel dates and all names /ages of people traveling, and ensuring the arrangements are correct at time of booking confirmation. If there is a discrepancy, SkiJapan.com must be notified immediately. Subsequent changes may incur amendment and/or cancellation fees.
PAYMENTS:
SkiJapan.com will accept payments by direct deposit into our bank accounts or via our payment gateway, Flywire. Flywire transactions are secure and you can pay the equivalent of the required amount in your own currency*. Payments can be via bank transfer, credit cards, or other options that are allowed based on your location Agent payments can be made via direct deposit. Information as applicable will be included on quotations and statements.

PART PAYMENTS:
SkiJapan.com will accept deposits and final payments only. Part payments towards bookings cannot not be accepted.
AMENDMENT FEES:
These are charged if amendments are made to bookings after the deposit is paid. Amendments made after deposit is received will incur a SkiJapan.com 5,000 Yen (JPY) administration fee per trip, per amendment. This is in addition to any supplier amendment fees charged. Amendment fees apply to changes made within the same booking season. Normal cancellation conditions and fees will otherwise apply. Note: If an amendment involving a reduction in the number of persons travelling occurs at any time the below cancellation penalties and terms apply to that persons trip who is cancelling. The package price will be amended accordingly to new passenger numbers. For selected properties amendments involving reducing the nights of stay and/or the number of units will be treated as a cancellation.
FINAL PAYMENT:
Full payment is required 70 days prior to guest arrival date (unless otherwise specified). Bookings made between 15 – 69 days from departure, require full payment within 7 days of confirmation (unless otherwise specified). Bookings made less than 14 days before departure require full payment immediately on confirmation. At the time of payment we will require written confirmation by email or fax of deposit verification. NB: Non-payment of deposit or final balance may lead to automatic cancellation of your booking.
CANCELLATION:
All cancellations must be advised to SkiJapan.com in writing with your trip reference number. In the event of cancellation, more than 60 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 20% of total invoice (loss of deposit) or the applicable supplier deposit will be non refundable. Cancellations within 60 days prior to arrival, 100% cancellation fee will apply without exception. Cancelation fees on other services such as lift passes, transfers vary and 30 days or less 100% cancelation fees apply. Please check with your consultant.
No allowance or refund can be made on any unused package components once travel has commenced. If a person or persons cancel from a SkiJapan.com booking, they and the remaining people in the booking will be liable for the additional accommodation costs that result from the cancelling persons.
EARLY BIRD OR ADVANCED PURCHASE DISCOUNT:
Early Bird or Advanced Purchase discounts apply to selected SkiJapan.com products as listed on our website. Early Bird or Advanced Purchase offers are not applicable in conjunction with any other discounts. To be eligible for the discount the booking must be paid in full by specified date or as per each offer’s conditions. All Early Bird or Advanced Purchase will be removed from the booking in the event final payment is made after this date and normal payment conditions will apply. SkiJapan.com strongly advises all clients in a booking pay by the Early Bird deadline. All clients in a booking may be liable for increases in the accommodation rate on certain properties if this condition is not met.
ACCOMMODATION:
SkiJapan.com reserves the right to substitute and confirm alternative accommodation of a comparable or superior standard if necessary should that described in the brochure not be available.
EXCLUSIONS:
Packages do not include travel insurance, equipment hire or lessons, meals (unless specified in quotes and statements) or any other items including those of a personal nature. Apart from those detailed in a quote/invoice, costs are at the clients’ own expense eg: passport and visa fees, inter-airport transfers. If flight or other travel delays lead to missed connections that have been pre-paid, SkiJapan.com cannot be responsible for train fares, taxis or other extra expenses.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Travel insurance is highly recommended at the time of deposit to cover cancellation, accidents, baggage loss, personal liability, additional expenses and strikes. SkiJapan.com strongly advises you to take out a travel insurance policy which provides adequate cover in the event you cannot travel, or where your booking has to be cancelled or changed as a result of force majeure. In the case of bookings for ski lessons, equipment rentals, guiding, snowmobiling etc. it is your responsibility to ensure your travel insurance policy provides adequate cover for the activity you will engage in (e.g. winter sports). SkiJapan recommends that you have the most comprehensive cover possible, SkiJapan does not offer any guarantee that it will help to cover any losses you may incur.
If you choose to travel without adequate insurance cover, neither SkiJapan.com or any third party supplier will be liable to you for any losses howsoever arising, in respect of which insurance cover would otherwise have been available. Please contact an insurance company in your country of origin for a policy.
BOOKINGS THROUGH TRAVEL AGENTS/WHOLESALERS:
Please note that a Travel Agent/Wholesaler does not receive monies from clients as an agent for SkiJapan.com and SkiJapan Travel Co Ltd accordingly bears no responsibility for such monies.
TOUR SERVICE:
The tour services in Hokkaido are operated by SkiJapan Co. Ltd, a company incorporated in Japan, who acts as the tour operator for SkiJapan.com in Japan, not as SkiJapan.com itself. The operations of SkiJapan Co. Ltd are subject to the jurisdiction of Japanese law, including liability and legal indemnity.
ONLINE BOOKINGS THROUGH THIS WEBSITE:
While every endeavour is made to make the online reservations system free of any bugs, errors, viruses, failures, delay in transmission etc. Ski Japan Travel Co. Ltd. does not guarantee that the site or any of the services offered would be free of bugs, errors, viruses, failures, and Ski Japan Travel Co. Ltd. does not accept any responsibility or liability for any such bugs, errors, viruses, failures delay in transmission etc in the site. Ski Japan Travel Co. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel or emend any such booking requests arising from such errors.
RESPONSIBILITY:
SkiJapan.com acts only an agent for the companies or persons (principals) providing or offering the means of travel, accommodation and other services (the principals’ services) and bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions under which the principal’s services are provided. Accommodation, transportation and any other services are subject to availability at the time of booking. The principals reserve the right to change the prices of their services without notice. Confirmations and invoices are subject to re-issue if incorrect .through error or omission and the passenger accepts liability to pay the correct costs for services. SkiJapan.com reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any tour or passenger booking or to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a Tour or passenger booking
LIABILITY:
To the extent permitted by law, neither SkiJapan.com nor anyone on its behalf can be held liable for any alterations, act or omission on the part of the service providers/principals for any consequential, loss, death, injury, accident, delay or damage occasioned to any person or their belongings (including baggage) in connection with the tour or holiday offers supplied by SkiJapan.com whether or not such loss, injury or damage is due directly or indirectly to any default, negligent act, misrepresentation, breach of duty, or omission of the travel operator, their respective representatives, servants, contractors or agents. Matters outside the control of SkiJapan.com may affect the services offered and SkiJapan.com will not be responsible for any such matters. Programs, offers, tour prices, services and conditions are current at the time of publication of promotional material are subject to change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances, including increases in operating costs. SkiJapan.com will not accept responsibility or liability for any traveler who contravenes the law or regulation of any country visited. SkiJapan.com strongly advise against the use or possession of prohibited drugs in foreign countries and warns travelers that if found to be involved in the use or possession of illegal drugs on a SkiJapan.com tour or travel package, we reserve the right to discharge the traveler from a tour. This is a zero tolerance policy.
Note: As per the terms of the booking form, passengers are responsible for checking travel dates and all names /ages of people traveling, and ensuring the arrangements are correct at time of booking confirmation. If there is a discrepancy, SkiJapan.com must be notified immediately in writing. Without such notification, SkiJapan.com will not bear the liability.
FORCE MAJEURE:
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, neither we nor any Third Party Supplier can accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our Third Party Supplier’s contractual obligation is prevented or affected by you or otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of force majeure. In these booking conditions ‘force majeure’ means an event which we / the supplier of the service (s) in question / the Third Party Supplier could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include, whether actual or threatened, war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, epidemics/pandemics, fire and all similar events outside the control of the party concerned.
