The exceptional snow quality is unique in an area of Japan that is already well known for its snow depth. Due to its location, surrounded by the mountains of Madarao, Kurohime, Togakushi, Iizuna and Myoko at heights of 1,000 to 2,000 meters, and situated to the south of Lakes Nojiri and Nozomi, the area witnesses consistent falls of light, powder snow. This makes for a perfect powder season, and a special place for winter sports enthusiasts!
